Superintendents do not skip the daily log because they are lazy. They skip it because it is due at the end of a twelve-hour day, about events that happened eleven hours earlier, in a form that wants them typed. Narrate it as it happens instead: the sub who did not show, the inspection that passed, the weather delay, the safety observation, the owner's decision at the walkthrough. Each one is a press and a sentence. By evening the log is drafted in your own words with the open items pulled out as next steps. Does a spoken daily log help with delay claims?
A contemporaneous daily log is the record a delay claim gets argued from. chit keeps the narration, the transcript and the dates together, so the evidence exists because writing it down took nothing.
Does it work on a site with no coverage?
Yes. chit records offline and syncs later, and the battery runs about a month of typical use.
Is it recording my subs all day?
No. chit records only while the button is held — no wake word, no always-on mic. The super chooses what goes on the record.
Where does project audio live for a GC?

Will it pick me up next to a compressor or a saw?
Hold it at arm's length or closer and narrate — the same way you would talk to someone standing next to you on that slab. Step ten feet off the noise and say numbers twice: unit, quantity, sub. What it captures is what you said while holding it, so the distance is yours to control.
