An AI note taker for financial advisors

Who carries it: RIA / advisor

A client review produces stated objectives, a shift in risk tolerance, and three things you promised to do — and the documentation usually waits until Friday. An AI note taker for financial advisors captures the meeting as it happens and hands back structured notes, tasks, and promised follow-ups the same evening.

Reg BI runs on documentation. chit captures the conversation your documentation comes from.

A hand holding chit one between thumb and forefinger, the card the size of a credit card.

When a ria presses it

  • Client review meetings
  • trade discussions
  • planning conversations
Teach it your job

RIA advisor; capture stated objectives, risk-tolerance changes, and action items.

A context like this — typed once into the app — is how chit stops being a generic recorder and starts being yours.

What the end of the day gives back

Meeting becomes CRM note + tasks; promised follow-ups queued.

What the company sees

Client meetings on record and searchable, resident in the firm's own VPC.

Where the data lives

Firm deployments keep recordings and transcripts resident in the firm's own VPC; chit makes no compliance certification claim.

The review meeting, not the Zoom call

There is no shortage of software that takes notes on a video call. There is almost nothing for the review that happens across a table, which for most advisors is the meeting where the important things get said: the objective that changed, the risk tolerance that quietly moved, the inheritance that has not been mentioned to anyone else yet. Hold the card through the meeting and it comes back as a transcript with the tasks pulled out. Ask-anything search then answers the question that separates a good advisor from an organised one — when did this client first mention selling the practice — with a timestamp instead of an impression. Firm deployments keep every recording resident in the firm's own VPC, which is where this conversation with compliance usually starts.

Good questions

Does this help with the documentation Reg BI runs on?

A timestamped record of what was discussed and recommended is stronger documentation than a note reconstructed on Friday. chit isn't a compliance certification — ask us about compliance deployments and your firm's books-and-records posture.

Does it write into Redtail, Wealthbox or Salesforce?

Not yet — first-party agents that write into a CRM are coming. Today you get the meeting back as a transcript with the tasks pulled out, ready to paste. If every one of your reviews is on Zoom, a CRM-native notetaker will serve you better; chit is for the review across the table.

How do I find what a client said months ago?

Ask-anything search runs across everything you've captured — "when did they mention selling the practice," "who asked about 529 plans" — and returns the moment with its timestamp.

Where do client recordings live?

Firm deployments run as branded device fleets with recordings resident in the firm's own VPC. See hichit.com/enterprise.

Is it recording the whole meeting automatically?

Only what you choose: chit records while the button is held — no wake word, no always-on mic. Consent norms vary by state, and this isn't legal advice.

This is general information, not legal advice. Recording law varies by state and by situation, it changes, and only a lawyer in your jurisdiction can tell you what applies to you. chit records only while you hold the button — that is a fact about the device, not a statement that any particular recording is lawful.

Recording laws differ by state, and several require every party's consent. chit only captures while the button is held — know your state's rule before recording another person.
