A lease operator's day is a loop of sites, readings and exceptions, recorded in a notebook that then has to be typed into something. Speak instead: the readings, the leak, the contractor who was on site and what they said. It works with no signal, which on most leases is the operative constraint, and syncs when you are back in range. The evening rollup is the site-by-site summary with the exceptions pulled out. Field data on these deployments stays resident in the operator's own VPC, which is usually the first question anyone asks before a single device goes out. Contractor coordination is the other half. Who was on the pad, what they were told, what they promised to come back and finish — the conversation that determines next week's schedule, held standing next to a wellhead with nothing to write on.

Does it work on remote well pads with zero cell coverage?
Yes. chit records offline and syncs everything when you're back in coverage, and the battery runs about a month of typical use — it isn't another thing to charge every night.
Can I log readings by voice at each site?
Yes. Hold the button, say the site and the readings, and move on. The day's narration rolls up by evening, with leaks and other exceptions queued as next steps.
Does it work with gloves on?
Yes — recording is one physical button you hold. No touchscreen, no wake word.
Is it recording everything around the crew?
No. chit captures audio only while the button is held down. Release it and recording stops — there is no always-on microphone.
Our operator won't allow field data on third-party clouds. What are the options?
